Cheste is a town in the comarca Hoya de Buñol, in the Valencian Province, Spain. which has been highly regarded by archaeologists since 1864, when in a place called Partida de Zafa, the so-called “treasure of Cheste” were found, an important horde of jewels, gold and silver coins dating from the Iberian period.

A visit can be made to the chapel dedicated to the Valencian St. Vicente Ferrer, in the Plaza del Calvario and to the church of San Lucas which has a svelte baroque bell tower. The old part of town is good for a stroll around the narrow winding streets of Moorish origin.

From Cheste, excursions can be made to the beauty spots of the Hoz and Marjana ravines and to the fountain of La Alhondiga. For the golf enthusiast, the 18-hole El Bosque golf course is close by.

Circuit Ricardo Tormo, also known as Circuit de Valencia and officially named Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, is a motorsport race track located in Cheste (Valencia, Spain) and built in 1999. It has a capacity of 120,000 spectators and seating for 60,000. It is often used as a test track by the Formula One teams, because of the mild temperatures in winter. Anthony Davidson holds the unofficial lap record, set in 2006 while testing a Honda, with a time of 1 m 08.540sec.

The track hosts the MotoGP Valencian Community Grand Prix, and also a race from the DTM.

The track is named after Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo.
